A courtesy visit to Mayor Roseller H. Rizal and Vice-Mayor Angelito Lazaro Jr., was made by the women entrepreneurs under the IDEAS Project Program to showcase the achievements of their recent success on the training conducted by the Asia Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (APWINC) and Women’s Business Council Philippines Inc. (WomenBizPH) in collaboration with the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund.

The visit served as a platform for the entrepreneurs to seek guidance on potential strategies for localizing the project in Calamba City. By doing so, they hope to increase accessibility to resources and training for more residents, particularly women looking to establish or grow their businesses.

The Gender and Development Office (GAD), which plays a significant role in facilitating and supporting women’s social development programs, also expressed its support for the initiative.

This effort not only showcases the success of the training program but also highlights the importance of local government support in advancing and creating inclusive opportunities for women entrepreneurs and fostering community-wide economic growth.
