The presidents representing the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) sector from fifty-four (54) barangays gathered at the Family Beach Resort in Guisguis Port Sariaya, Quezon, last December 01, 2024, to participate in a Gender Sensitivity Training (GST). The initiative aimed to equip these leaders with essential knowledge and practical tools to foster an inclusive and equitable environment for all individuals, regardless of gender, within their communities.

The Gender and Development (GAD) Office under the Office of the City Mayor, in collaboration with the Person with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), is committed to advancing gender equality and inclusivity, particularly for vulnerable sectors such as persons with disabilities.
Addressing the needs and challenges of both sexes, especially those individuals with special needs, it became an avenue for the participants to raise their concerns, eliminate stereotypes and prejudices that may hinder equality in accessing opportunities and services, and help them to be advocates for gender-responsive policies and programs in their respective barangays.
